Tribute; Mom's Day

Recently, a friend reminded me of Mothers Day which I, like most other males will naturally forget (don’t blame me…it is in our genes to forget important dates!). Yeah most of us will think nothing of it since our mother is still around to fend and mend the broken and the battered but try to do this.. imagine that she is not around for a day. You may say that you are a million miles away from her and it will not bother you. Like it or not your mother will always be in your mind if not in your heart.

She may have thrown you out of her house for not marrying the girl of her choice or worse still she may have disowned you but if you do some soul searching you will find that having her on your side will always be better than having her on the opposing team (can’t get football off my mind too..diversion). Some people will give some sort of lousy excuse stating that religion doesn’t allow us to celebrate Mother’s Day and all sort of things but if you said that, actually you are supposed to remember God every second and mothers will not be too far behind. So are you there yet? If you are not, do not preach unless you can lead by example!

If you had a cold, your mother will pamper you. I have not yet seen a wife who could do the same (if there is one inform me and I’ll marry her.. oh if she is a wife than she would have been already married!) If you had a problem she will listen and not run away like most friends will do. So today or any day, you don’t have to wait until Mother’s Day to say it.

By the way, when is the exact day of Mother’s Day? Haven’t called home since last Februaty, may be I should.
